Tobago's roads are narrow, winding, hilly and are of variable quality. Small cars and 'Jeep'-type vehicles are particularly appropriate.

Driving Licences: Your driving licence will be inspected upon receiving your Tobago car hire. Please ensure that you, and anyone else that wishes to drive the vehicle, has this available. Do not rely upon International Driving Permits.

Open topped vehicles are ideal for all-round visibility and to make the most of the cooling breezes, but liberal and frequent use of sunscreen is essential if you are not to ruin your holiday. 

Car RentalType: We will always do our best to provide you with the specified vehicle, but we reserve the right to substitute another similar vehicle of equivalent or better specification. 

Driver Qualifications: All drivers must be 25 years of age or over to hire a car in Tobago. Please notify us, when making the reservation, if you or any other driver has had their driver's licence revoked or suspended within the previous three years. 

Visitors do not need an international driver's permit for a Tobago car rental, provided that their stay is no longer than 3 months. You will, however, need your normal driving licence.
